Super Eagles and former Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho was the hero of the day for Leicester City. He scored a superb goal to help Leicester City come back to the game after conceding in the game’s ten minutes against Burnley.
The game ended in a stalemate as the two teams shared points. Burnley hosted The Foxes at their Turf Moor Stadium in the English Premier League Matchday 27. The first goal came in a few minutes after the start of the game.
Kelechi Iheanacho Scores Save Leicester City
The 24-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho helped his side got the levelled forward fired home an unstoppable volley into Nick Pope’s net in the 34th minute to seal as the two sides played a 1-1 draw at the end of the encounter.
The former Manchester City man made an excellent run towards Burnley’s 18-yeard box after spotting his Wilfred Ndidi looking to send in a long ball from his half. He was already at a vantage position in the box when the ball arrived, and he did well to put the ball in the back of the net.
Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal helped cancel out Matej Vydra’s fourth-minute opener and stop Leicester from suffering their eighth defeat in the 2020/21 season. They are currently in the third-place position on the English Premier League table.
