An unknown gunmen has attacked a pastor in Adamawa State killing his two sons and kidnapping his only daughter. This tragic incident happened on Wednesday, the state government confirmed the attack. They also confirmed that the pastor was shot while his wife is now in a coma after suffering shock from the attack. The incident happened in Njairi, in Mubi Local Government Area.
Gunmen Attacks Pastor in Adamawa State
According to reports, the pastor’s name is Reverend Daniel Umaru and he is the resident pastor of EYN Church. The daughter who was adducted is said to be just 13-year-old. The State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, through a statement by his Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, condemned the deeds of the unidentified gunmen and asked relevant security agencies to get them.
While giving him condenses through a statement, he said: “The perpetrators of this heinous act must be brought to justice, and we have offered our full support to the security agencies to do so.” He also said the government would continue to confront crime in all its forms, including “the threat posed by kidnappers.” “They must be brought to justice for crimes against humanity,” Fintiri charged.
This incident is happening fewer than 24 hours after the correctional facility in Kuje was broken into releasing over 60 Boko Haram inmates, and an attack on one of the president’s despatch convoys on their way to Kastina.
