Nigerian multiple award singer and songwriter, Teniola Apata widely known as Teni has disclosed her state of origin in a Twitter post which got a comment from Governor Akeredolu.
The singer, who was born to the family of late Army officer, Olaosebikan Apata was brought up in Lagos, Nigeria with her sister, Niniola. The Apata sisters have taken the Nigerian music industry by storm and are one of the most popular siblings in the entertainment industry.
Teni, in a tweet disclosed her state of origin as Ondo. She tweeted @TeniEntertainer ‘‘Being from Ondo is a pride thing! I can’t explain”
Governor Akeredolu of Ondo State Comments
This got the governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu to comment on the post. Akeredolu commented using comedian, Mr Macaroni’s popular line ‘‘You’re doing well”
Although the late Olaosebikan Apata is from Ekiti state, Teni’s mom hails from Ondo, in Ondo state. It is safe for the ‘Billionaire crooner’ to claim Ondo State even though it was her mother that hails from the state, her father’s place was actually carved out of the ‘Sunshine state’.
