Amid the reactions trailing the murder of an Akwa Ibom job seeker, Hinny Humoren, the suspect arrested in connection with the gruesome murder, Frank Uduak has narrated how and why he killed the young lady.
Uduak, who spoke when the Akwa Ibom State Police Command paraded him on Friday, said he killed the girl in self-defence and not intentionally.
The Commissioner of police in Akwa Ibom, Andrew Amiengheme, said it decided to parade the suspect and his father to dismiss rumour of his death in police custody.
Frank Uduak confessed that he invited Hinny Humoren for a job and asked her whether she can work as a secretary on a farm.
The suspect added that he had already told the deceased that he wanted to sleep with her first, and she agreed on a condition that he will use a condom.
According to the suspect, Hinny became furious when he started removing the condom, adding that she attacked him and led to him bleeding. Frank said he needed to defend himself by hitting her, which lead to her death.
Meanwhile, the Akwa Ibom police Boss noted that the command decided to call for a press conference to dismiss the rumour making the rounds that the suspect had committed suicide in the cell.
Meanwhile, a Nigerian Independent Investigative Journalist, David Hundeyin has challenged Senator Godswill Akpabio to go ahead with his plan to file a lawsuit over the report linking him and his wife to the murder of Hinny.
