In the wake of the calls for scrapping the Special Anti Robbery Squads, SARS by many Nigerians who considered the squad as a threat to the society, Nigerian singer, Fireboy DML has lamented government silence on the issue.
SARS in the past few weeks have caused more harm to Nigerians that armed robbers as young Nigerians have been brutalized with another losing his life yesterday in Delta State.
Nigerians who have been clamoring for the scrap of the Police department, SARS took to social media with the hashtag #ENDSARS again.
Fireboy DML in his tweet calls for the scrap of SARS. His tweet reads, ”This country, mehn (heart break emoji) can’t believe we’re back to this again. The Nigerian Police needs a complete reform, and the SARS program should be scrapped. Innocent Nigerian lives lost everyday. It makes no sense”
The YBNL artist also shared his thought about the government’s silence on this matter. He added, ‘‘…and the silence of the government on this issue tells us all we need to know. It’s a sad reality. We’re alone”
