In its bid to improve service delivery from institutions and agencies in the country, the Federal Government of Nigeria has purchased some new equipment worth around N2 billion.

FG acquires important new equipment meant for surveillance at airports and waterways to aid service delivery and improve security.
This was disclosed to State House correspondents by the Minister for Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, at the end of a meeting of the Federal Executive Council, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari. It was held at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday.
Lai Mohammed said that N1.2 billion out of the total amount was approved to purchase surveillance equipment for the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

Furthermore, N783.5 million was approved by the council for the procurement of two hydrographic survey boats meant for the National Inland Waterways Authority.
The Minister of Information spoke on behalf of the Minister of Transportation as the FG FG acquires important new equipment to aid surveillance. He pointed out that the contract would be completed over a period of six months.
