Manchester City signs Ferran Torres
Manchester City has completed the signing of 20-year-old Valencia winger Ferran Torres for 23m euros (£20.87m). The young star is Manchester City’s first signing since the departure of German winger Leroy Sane. Sane left on the 3rd of last month July after spending five years in the English Premier League.
The 20-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the former English Premier League Champions, there is no news on if he will be able to play in the Champions League game which comes up on Saturday against Real Madrid. According to the former Valencia winger Ferran Torres, he said: “Every player wants to be involved in attacking teams and Manchester City is one of the most attacking in world football.”
“I am so happy to be joining City,” the player added. Manchester City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain speaking about the new signing he said: “We have followed Ferran’s progress closely and have been very impressed. “He is young and still developing, but his technical qualities are exactly what we are looking for in a winger. He is quick, direct, can create space with one movement and is capable of producing match-winning moments.”
Manchester City has also had a £40m bid for Bournemouth centre-back Nathan Ake accepted, the Dutchman could be the next player to come to Etihad Stadium.
