Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity has cleared the air over the reported Presidential broadcast expected on Monday, May 18th.
Adesina, who made the clarification in a tweet on Monday noted that, there was no plan for any Presidential broadcast.
According to the tweet, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 would announce the next line of action during the Monday edition of the daily media briefings on the Coronavirus outbreak.

The tweet reads “No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps.”
Before the clarification, several media outlets had reported that President Buhari will hold a Broadcast to let Nigerians know government’s plan about the lockdown order which was announced to curtail the further spread of the deadly virus.
