Ayodele Fayose, the controversial ex-Governor of Ekiti State, recently verbally abused ex-President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki and ex-Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
He blamed the duo for not supporting former President Goodluck Jonathan during the 201 election that brought the All Progressives Congress, APC and President Muhammadu Buhari into power since then.
For this reason, Fayose vowed that he was never going to step down for anybody in the PeoplesDemocraticParty, PDP, not for Atiku nor Saraki seeking the PDP sole ticket for the 2023 election.
Fayose Gives Reasons for Blasts
While speaking during an interview on a live television broadcast, yesterday, the former governor hinted that the former vice president would not be able to fly the party’s flag nor take them to victory following his failure to do so in 2019 as he won in Adamawa with less than 20,000 votes.
“Go to Sokoto, what’s the voting difference? Let us go to Saraki in Kwara, we actually lost there. Let us sit back and look at figures.” He said.
According to the outspoken politician, he pointed out that both presidential aspirants returned to the PDP simply because they did not succeed in the APC, wondering if they would have come back to the PDP if they had become Presidents while in the APC.
