Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode has disclosed that what is happening to Magu was planned many years ago before he was eventually detained and later suspended by President Muhammamadu Buhari.
In a tweet on Sunday, July 12, Fani Kayode noted that Magu is not the real target but those he worked for and protected many years before he met his waterloo.
Also, he noted that Magu never worked for President Buhari since his appointment as the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The tweet reads “What is happening to Magu today was planned years ago. The real target is not Magu but those he worked for and protected for the last 4 years. He NEVER worked for Buhari.”

The former Minister further accused Magu of working for the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
“He worked for Tinubu & Osinbajo. When they finish crushing him they will move against his two godfathers.”
You will recall that after Magu was suspended President Buhari approved the appointment of Mohammed Umar as the new acting Chairman of the EFCC.
Prior to his appointment, Umar was EFCC’s Director of Operations.
According to a statement by the Special Assistant Media and Public Relations to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, Dr Umar Gwandu, Magu, was suspended to allow for an unhindered probe by the Presidential Investigation Panel.
