Funke Akindele Supports #EndSARS campaign
Popular actress and Movie entrepreneur, Funke Akindele who is popularly known as Jenifa made major contributions to help fight Police brutality in Nigeria by sharing money and airtime for #EndSARS protesters so that they can remain active in their fight.
Funke who is against the brutality from SARS has encouraged Nigerian youth to stay focused in the fight against the extrajudicial killing in the country. She said that this is not the time to stay silent in the face of injustice and so as her quota to the cause she shared money and recharge cards to protesters on twitter as a form of encouragement.
A fan who had seen a screenshot of the money she sent to some other twitter user went ahead to ask her for airtime so that he could continue with his online protests and that was how she started sharing to all the protesters online.
Nigerians all over the country have united in the fight against police brutality from the Federal Anti-Robbery Squad and have taken to the street and the internet to make their grievances known to the authorities. This call for an end to SARS has moved on to be a call for the reform of the entire Police force and the government.
