Forty-nine-year-old entrepreneur and the Chief Executive Officer of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk has emerged the fourth richest person in the world after Tesla shares spiked 11.2% on Monday.
According to Bloomberg, Musk’s net worth rose to $84.8 billion on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index making him the fourth-richest person in the world, ahead of investing luminary, Warren Buffett and Indian oil and gas tycoon Mukesh Ambani.
Also, Musk’s net worth soared past the current wealthiest non-American on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Bernard Arnault.
The entrepreneur is now about $15 billion behind social media giant Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, who holds the number three position among the world’s 500 richest people.

It was gathered that Musk’s wealth has grown by $57.2 billion in 2020 marking the second-largest increase on the index after the CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos.
In July, Elon Musk had overtaken Warren Buffett to become the seventh richest person in the world after Buffett had donated Berkshire Hathaway shares worth $2.9 billion to charity, causing a decline in his net worth.
Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are the three wealthiest people on Earth as of the time of filing this report.
