The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has announced that it has supported the Lagos state government in the fight against the deadly coronavirus by giving out a property to the state government for use as an isolation centre for COVID-19 patients.
The property which was forfeited by the former minister of petroleum resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke is a block of six flats of three bedrooms and a boys quarter.
Mohammed Rabo who is the Lagos zonal head of EFCC said this today while handing over the property to the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, letting the governor know that the commission is committed to offering its services in not only fighting economic and financial crimes but also rendering any essential services in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic when it is called upon by the state.
The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu commended the EFCC for its gesture and intention of collaborating with the Federal government agency. The governor also acknowledged that the state has been facing problems in getting these isolation centres for COVID-19 patients.
