Media Personality, Ebuka- Obi Uchendu will be starting his Courtroom Reality Show, Judging Matters soon, a lot of his fans can’t wait to see how that is going to play out.
Ebuka who is known as a show host and prominent in the entertainment world will be dusting off his legal career soon with his show meant to treat minor cases calling for the attention of the Lagos State judiciary.
Most of these cases might have been tagged minor, but they seem to be defiling the efforts of the regular courtrooms in the State.
A tree they say never makes a forest, so when Ebuka is acting as the Councillor on the show, Judging Maters, he will be doing so with the help of a retired Lagos State Judge, Justice Olusola Williams who will be having the final say on the show as the Judge.
Apart from knowing that Justice Olusola Williams will be the Bench on the show, it will be useful to know more about her competence and her antecedents in the legal world.
The Judge was in charge of the famous case of fraud instituted against Chairman of Innoson Motors, Innocent Chukwuma by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC). The former Lagos High Court Judge in her judgement struck out the case due to the inability of the prosecution to produce him in court for arraignment. You need not ask if that was the end of the case.
The no-nonsense Judge, in another case, revoked the bail granted a banker, Chester Ukandu who became a customer of the courtroom because of a three-count charge of forgery and impersonation.
After the former Managing Director of the Mainstreet Bank Registrars was said to have breached the express conditions of the bail granted him, Justice Williams saw his actions capable of jeopardising the course of justice, so she did the needful.
Another person who has visited Justice Williams while she sits on the Bench is Olumuyiwa Williams, a businessman wallowing in an N165 million fraud accusation.
Though Olumuyiwa was granted bail, but Justice Williams sent him to prison custody until his bail conditions were met.
Justice Olusola Williams who was called to the Bench on May 22, 2020, sat on several cases and gave judgements on a lot of cases before her retirement, but with the way things are going right now, the retired Judge is not tired just yet.
While we wait to see how the vibrant Judge brings back her vibe of the show Judging Matters, we wish those whose cases would be judged on the reality TV show a good time resolving their matters.
