Following an impressive start to the season for Everton boss and striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Carlo Ancelotti, the two sportsmen have been named the English Premier League Player and Manager of the Month for September respectively.
The Premier League made the announcement on their verified Twitter handle on Friday. The Everton striker who has been in top form since the start of the season scored yesterday in his England debut, the player won the award ahead of African Player of the Year Sadio Mane, Harry Kane, and fellow team-mate James Rodriquez to the award.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored in all the English Premier League games this season for Everton. He started the season with a goal against Jose Mourinho side Tottenham in the EPL Matchday 1. He went on to score a hat-trick in their Matchday 2 game against West Brom at Goodison Park.
In their EPL Matchday 3, he scored in their 2-1 win over Crystal Palace seven days after he scored again in their 4-2 win over Brighton. Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored nine goals in all competition in the month of September. Everton is currently topping the English Premier League with 12 points as they have won all four of their last four games.
S has been impressive this season, giving Everton their first-ever four straight starts of the season win. Both he and the England attacker has been named the Player and the Manager od the month for their impressive performance. They are the first to win the award in the 2020/21 English Premier League season.
Meanwhile, the Premier League September Goal of the Month went to Leicester City’s James Maddison for his superb strike against Manchester City.
