Italian Serie D side Folgore Caratese have completed the signing of former Galatasaray and Chelsea Ivorian striker’s son Isaac Drogba. Didier Drogba, who is regarded as one of the greatest African player alive, has now paved the way for his son to follow his footsteps.
Didier Drogba’s son Isaac Drogba can play for either France or Ivory Coast as he was born in Paris. The young player is only 21-years-old, and he has opened down his first professional contract with a club side.
He was playing in his father’s club Chelsea before moving to French side Guingamp. The Serie D side announced the signing of the player young player on their official website.
Folgore Catanese Signs Didier Drogba’s Son
The statement on their website says: “Folgore Catanese announce to have signed Isaac Drogba, son of Didier, on a permanent deal.” His father scored a total of 164 goals for Chelsea in his 381 appearances for Chelsea.
He also won 14 trophies with Chelsea including a Champions League in the 2011-12 campaign. Drogba played in the French Ligue 1, English Premier League, Turkish League, China before finally moving to the USA where he retired from professional football.
