Former Manchester United and Real Madrid Portugues forward Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Juventus came from behind to beat Inter Milan in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final at Inter Milan.
Barcelona and Manchester City target Lautaro Martinez had put Inter Milan in front, steering a shot past Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon on his 1,100th senior appearance.
Cristiano Ronaldo the Goal Machine
Former Manchester United defender Ashley Young fouled Juan Cuadrado in the penalty box to allow Cristiano Ronaldo to level the scores as he scored the penalty as expected.
The Portuguese forward then capitalised on a defensive mistake and scored the second to put his side in front. The second goal rounded off the scoring in a bad-tempered encounter, which saw nine players booked.
It was like revenge for Andrea Pirlo’s side after the 2-0 home loss to Inter Milan in the Italian Serie A in January. Juventus are 13-time winners of the competition and looks favourite to win 2020/21 own.
