Chelsea Football club has signed Nigerian-British born goalkeeper, Prince Adegoke.
The Farnborough (England) born goalie joined several other Nigerians to have signed deals with the ‘Blues’.
Prince Adegoke was born in 2003, and was first signed to the London-based team although locally, as an Under-13 goalkeeper at the their Football Academy.
During his years at the Academy, the Nigerian featured on the bench in the FA Youth Cup last season and has been involved with the Under-18s on a number of occasions.
Adegoke has been part of the full-time school programme at the Academy. He signed his first professional contract with the Stamford Bridge landlords in November 2020 but was made official on 11th February 2021.
His 3-year contract with Chelsea keeps him as a Blue at Stamford Bridge until 2023.
Prince Adegoke took to his Twitter page to make the announcement. Sharing a photo of himself , he captioned, “Happy To Sign My Professional Contract @ChelseaFc”

He is listed in the 2020-21 Chelsea yearbook lists which has Lucas Bergström as the club’s tallest player at 204.5cm, Kurt Zouma as the heaviest at 97kg; while he (Adegoke) is 96kg and 3cm taller.

Meanwhile, Manchester United also gave Nigerian-born forward, Shola Shoretire his professional contract a few days ago. The lad has since participated in a training session with the first team.
