Bellingham and Jadon Sancho Shines as Dortmund Humbled Duisburg 5-0
Jude Bellingham marked his Borussia Dortmund debut with a goal in the German Cup clash against Duisburg, Manchester United target Jadon Sancho also scored, the English man scored the opener from the penalty spot. Borussia Dortmund rolled past 10-man Duisburg in the first round of the German Cup.
Seventeen-year-old, who joined Dortmund from Birmingham City in the summer, drove in his side’s second midway through the first half. Duisburg had Dominic Volkmer sent off before Erling Braut Haaland, Gio Reyna and Marco Reus added further goals. Jadon Sancho is Manchester United’s top transfer target this summer but Borussia Dortmund is becoming increasingly confident of keeping England forward, who impressed along with Bellingham in the first half of Monday’s game.
The goals from the two English men means it is the first time in Borussia Dortmund’s history that two Englishmen had started and scored in the same match for the club. Bellingham scored the second goal after Sancho opened the scoring in the first fourteen-minute of the game. The game ended 5-0 in favour of Borussial Dortmund.
