Following the explosion that rocks Lebanese capital, Beirut, over 200,000 have been rendered homeless as they lost their homes to the blast.
The Beirut’s city governor, Marwan Abboud, who confirmed this added that authorities are working on providing them with food, water and shelter.
The Tuesday explosion sent shockwaves across the city, causing widespread damage while officials said they expect the death toll to rise further as emergency workers dig through the rubble to search for survivors.
Beirut Explosion Renders Over 200, 000 Homeless
Though the cause of the explosion was not immediately clear, officials linked the blast to some 2,750 tonnes of confiscated ammonium nitrate that were being stored in a warehouse at the port for six years.

However, Lebanese President, Michel Aoun has called for an emergency cabinet meeting on Wednesday adding that a two-week state of emergency should be declared.
Also, Prime Minister Hassan Diab called for a day of mourning on Wednesday.
In a tweet, Pakistan’s prime minister on Wednesday expressed sorrow over the loss of over 100 lives in a massive explosion that rocked Beirut.
It was gathered that the massive explosion killed at least 100 people and injured 4,000 others.
