According to reports streaming in from Spain, it is understood that Barcelona reaches agreement for Aguero from Manchester City.
He is to be signed on a free transfer after running down his current contract at the English club at the end of the summer.
According to Diario AS, one of the top Spanish football papers, a deal is understood to be “very close”.
Barcelona Reaches Agreement For Aguero for next season, deal “close”
New Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, has agreed to sanction a two-year contract for Aguero, which will run until June 2023.
Sergio Aguero’s contract at the Etihad expires this summer, meaning clubs outside England could negotiate with the player from January.
The only reason the contract has not been signed is that although Laporta is due to become president, Carles Tusquets is in interim charge.
Barca has already snapped up promising Man City centre half Eric Garcia, 20, on a five-year contract, also a free transfer.
