Barcelona Makes Progress in the Uefa Champions League
Spanish giants Barcelona becomes the second team in Spain to advance to the Uefa Champions League round of 16 after thrashing Dynamo Kyiv 4-0 yesterday. They confirmed their qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League after the game they have won all of their four group games.
Barcelona played without key players, the likes of Gerard Pique, Lionel Messi, Ansu Fati and Sergio Bosquests were all left in the bench as most of them had one injury or the other. Ronald Koeman recorded his highest scoreline since joining the club, it was comfortable away win for Ronald Koeman and his men.

Summer signing Sergio Dest opened the scoring in the second half of the game after going goalless in the first half of the game. Denmark international Martin Braithwaite scored twice before Antoine Griezmann rounded off the scoring late on as the game ended 4-0. Barcelona has been facing hard times, especially in their local league. They have not won their last three games in the Spanish La Liga with the team currently surrendered by youth team players.
The young players are however doing well, the likes of Debutant Oscar Mingueza fit in the shoes of Gerard Pique well, while Francisco Trincao, Junior Firpo and Carles Alena all did well too. Denmark forward Braithwaite also made an excellent contribution, he scored two in the 4-0 demolision.
