Aubameyang’s Brilliant Two Goals saw Arsenal Surpass Chelsea to Lift the FA Cup
Arsenal’s talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s brace was enough to seal the Gunnars spot in the next Europa League as they now have an automatic ticket to the elite competition. Arsenal came from behind at Wembley to beat Chelsea 2-1 to lift the 2019/20 FA Cup title.
Aubameyang’s both halves goals gave Arsenal Heads Up FA Cup for a record 14th times. Chelsea took the lead inside the first five minutes through Christian Pulisic’s smart finish after former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud provided an excellent lay up for the American. Arsenal came back into the game as Chelsea captain fell victim to the brilliance of Aubameyang, who was also Arsenal’s hero when he scored twice in the semi-final win over Manchester City.
The Gabon forward drew Arsenal level from the penalty spot before the break after he was fouled by Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta, then produced a moment of world-class finishing to make the defining contribution to the first behind-closed-doors FA Cup final. Chelsea was hampered by a first-half injury to Azpilicueta and was struggling even further when they lost the outstanding Pulisic to a hamstring problem after the break.
As the Blues battled to overcome those setbacks, Aubameyang’s creativity was above the control of Frank Lampard side, things became worst Chelsea as Kovacic was sent off after receiving a second yellow card and they were reduced to ten men. Arsenal closed out the win to secure a place in the Europa League next season but it was a bitter disappointment for Chelsea manager Frank Lampard at the conclusion of his first campaign in charge. Now Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta will be hoping the Gabon international will sign a contract with the as they have qualified for the Europa League.
