Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Sign new Contract with Arsenal
Arsenal has reportedly agreed on a new contract with their captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The former Burossial Dortmund striker who is the superman in the Gunners team has been pending his contract with the club for some time now, but since winning the FA Cup which guarantee’s their Europa League place next season, the attacker is now ready to pen down a new contract.
31-year-old Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang current contract will be due to expire next summer, and he has been strongly linked with a move to Spanish side Barcelona in recent months. The Gabon international led the Gunners the FA Cup trophy during the 2019-20 campaign, though, and ended the season with 29 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions.
According to reports, Arsenal has agreed on terms with the African over a new deal, meaning that an announcement could be imminent. Aubameyang also dropped a hint on Sunday afternoon that he is close to penning a new contract. He has scored 70 times in 109 appearances for the Gunners since arriving at the London club in January 2018
