The official team of Barcelona women (Barcelona Femeni) today made an announcement about Asisat Oshoala and her health/injury status.
According to the announcement, the star forward has had to undergo surgery on her right foot.

In the Spanish club’s official statement, it was further disclosed that the captain of the Super Falcons had been experiencing some discomfort in her right foot, leading her to miss a game for her team.
However, the statement did not include anything about an expected return date for the Nigerian star.

The 26-year-old has so far scored 15 goals for Barcelona in 20 league games, and her prolific goalscoring form has also powered her team to the semifinals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
The team will feel her absence as she has proven herself an integral part of the Barcelona women setup with her goals and all-around influence on the team.
