Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta created a Premier League history as his side beat follow London side Chelsea 1-0. It was a hard fight for the Gunnaers but they were able to overcome the dominant Chelsea side. The only goal came right in the first 15 minutres of the game.
A misplaced back pass from Jorginho was punished by Emile Smith Rowe slotted into the net off an assist from Arsenal skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The win means at 39 years and 47 days old, Arteta is the youngest manager in Premier League history to complete a league double over Chelsea.
Arteta Breaks Record as Arsenal Beat Chelsea
Remember, Arsenal ended Chelseas’ unbeaten run early this season although they were very poor as at the time 3-1. Artete has now made another history and record on their head again. Arsenal claimed their first win against Chelsea at Stamford since the 2011/2012 season.
Also, it is the first double for Arsenal Over Chelsea since the 2003/2004 campaign. Chelsea still have Leicester City who knocked out Manchester United in the English FA Cup final this weekend to play. It will their first Cup under new manager Thomas Tuchel who also have Champions League final to play as well.
