According to Antonine Griezmann former agent, Eric Olhats has described Messi’s influence at Barca as ‘a regime of terror.‘ Antonine Griezmann moved from Atletico Madrid to Barcelona in 2019. He was signed for around £107 million. Olhats said the 29-year-old was treated with disdain on his arrival at the Catalan club due to the presence of the six-time Ballon d’Or winner.
He also claimed that Messi’s quest to leave in the summer was a no brainer. He insisted that it was one of his plots to exercise his power over the club. Olhats was quoted by Daily Mail speaking to French Football. According to him, he said: “Antoine arrived in a struggling club where Messi has a view on everything.”
“He’s at the same time emperor and monarch, and he didn’t see Antoine’s arrival with a good eye. His attitude has been deplorable, he made him feel that.”
“I’ve always heard Antoine say there’s no problem with Messi, but never the other way around. It is the regime of terror. Either you are with him or you are against him.”
