English Premier League side Nottingham Forest has completed the signing of Manchester United and Sweden starlet Anthony Elanga. It was gathered that the club signed the 21 by-year-old for a fee of £15m.
Anthony Elanga Joins Nottingham Forest
Elanga had been with Manchester United since he was 12 years old and achieved a first-team breakthrough in 2021, reaching 55 appearances before Forest stepped in.
Following his transfer he said: “It’s a pleasure to be here. It’s a proud moment, not only for me, but for my family as well.” He also said: “It’s a big step and I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the Forest fans at the City Ground.” “I had interest from elsewhere, but for me, Nottingham Forest feels like the perfect place.” “I’ve been here with United. It’s a special place, but being here with Forest, I feel like it will be even more special. I’m ready for the challenge.”
The Swedish international was a target for many clubs in Europe including clubs from Germany and the English Premier League
Everton, whom Elanga was close to joining on loan in January was also aiming to sign. He is the latest player to join the club after the arrival Nigerian international Ola Aina from Italian Serie A side Torino.
