Sometimes back a CCTV footage captured Alexandre Lacazette, Matteo Guendouzi, Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all inhaling from balloons allegedly containing the Nitrous oxide substance. The players were at a private party at a London club in August when France striker Alexander Lacazette was pictured with a balloon in his mouth and he is said to have sent a video to friends.
According to an Arsenal spokesperson he said it was “a private matter” that would be “handled internally”. Alexandre Lacazette and Co. were caught inhaling Nitrous oxide which is also known as laughing gas or ‘hippy crack’. The spokesperson also said it is the responsibility of Arsenal to handle it.
The Nitrous oxide substance slows down the brain and the body’s responses, giving users a feeling of euphoria and can cause hallucinations, but can also lead to headaches, dizziness and paranoia.
While it is not illegal to possess the drug, it is illegal to give away or sell. Alexandre Lacazette who was involved in the last one is now caught again this time alone in a similar offence of inhaling the substance, also known as laughing gas.
Arsenal recently spoke to all their players after Lacazette was one of four players to break social distancing guidelines during the coronavirus lockdown. The 28-years-old French striker will now face disciplinary actions from his club since they say is an internal problem and so, it will be handled internally.
