Manchester United summer signing Alex Telles has tested positive for coronavirus for a second time. The 27-year-old Brazilian has already missed four games before now due to the virus. He is now sidelined again for about two weeks as he will self-isolate for the next two weeks.
Telles joined up with Brazil’s squad for the international break as he produced a negative result. The former Porto defender even came off the bench in his nation’s 1-0 win over Venezuela on Friday. But now the Brazilian Football Confederation has confirmed he is positive for coronavirus.
Reports claim that Alex Telles is ‘no longer in a transmissive stage. The other players will now undergo a second test. Brazilian have a game with Uruguay it is likely he will not join the travelling team.
United will be playing West Brom next Saturday at Old Trafford with Alex Telles or Luke Shaw. After the EPL game, they will then look to exact revenge on Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League following a shock 2-1 defeat in the reverse fixture.
