Juventus Ends AC Milan Unbeaten Run
Federico Chiesa scored twice as defending champions Juventus produced a superb display to end AC Milan’s unbeaten league run in the 2020/21 season.
The 23-year-old opened the scoring in the first 18th minute of the game when he played a fantastic one-two with Paulo Dybala before drilling home.
The home side came back to the game as Davide Calabria levelled the scores with a great side-foot finish before Chiesa gave Juventus the lead again with his low drive.
Weston McKennie cemented the victory for Juventus with a strike from close range. AC Milan remains top of Serie A by a point from city rivals Inter Milan. Inter played in the early hours of the day and lost 2-1 at Sampdoria.
Juve, who have endured a mixed start to the campaign, are now up to fourth seven points behind AC Milan. Juve has won the past nine championships but hopes of making it 10 have taken a big knock this season after a handful of erratic displays under new coach Andrea Pirlo.
Milan, without their injured talismanic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, were favourites to win inside the San Siro but things did not go there way. The Serie A leaders AC Milan were rated the most in-form club in the Italian Seria A recently after going nine games without a loss.
