Asisat Oshoala Makes Uefa Team of Year
African female player of the year and Nigerian female football star Asisat Oshoala who currently plays for Barcelona has been nominated for the UEFA fans’ women’s team for the year 2020. The 26-year-old striker made the list because of her impressive performances for the Spanish side’s Female team.
Also, she did well for the Super Falcons of Nigeria. Sports generally was affected heavily this year by coronavirus but Asisat Oshoala was still able to make a mark in the Barcelona female team. Out of the 50 women listed for the award on Asisat Oshoala is the only Nigerian female footballer who made the list.

It is actually an incredible record for the former River Angels’ striker who has also played for Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies in England. According to the report, UEFA explained that the list was carefully made as all the nominees were proposed by the editorial team. The nominees are below:
