The Super Eagles of Nigeria have ranked the second most valuable national team on the continent of Africa, despiting losing 1-0 to Algeria and drawing to Tunisia 1-1. Their valuation is said to be about €230.68million. They have also been ranked among the 100 Most Valuable National Teams in the world with the Nigerian senior national side also making the top 21.
According to Transfermarkt, the Nigeria national team is the second most valuable team in Africa behind fellow West Africans, Senegal with a market valuation of €230.68m. While the Teranga Lions of Senegal are in 12th spot on the global stage with a valuation of €344.43million.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria is currently occupying the 21st position in the world rankings of national teams. The Atlas Lions of Morocco is currently the third most valuable African team and 23rd in the world, on €189.83million.
The rating is based on the quality of players outside and how much they are valued in terms of their market value. Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi has made a total of 122 Premier League appearances and he is one of the most vital player in the squad. He has so far scored six goals and he finished second both as EPL’s top tackler and best interceptions last season and he is the most valuable player in the Super Eagles team.
Napoli new signing Victor Osimhen is Nigeria’s Super Eagles’ second most valuable player with the striker also still on €40m from the last rating despite moving to Napoli from Lille for a fee of €70m earlier this summer.
