Kepa Arrizabalaga ‘s Two costly Errors Ensures Liverpool Away Win
Spanish international Kepa Arrizabalaga’s huge error against defending champions Liverpool gave them an easy away win in the English Premier League Matchday 2. According to banters, the goalkeeper is a major set back for the whole team. Former Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong, he sent a message to the Chelsea manager Frank Lampard about Kepa’s confidence level, according to ex-Man City star the goalkeeper is good but his confidence level needs to be in check.
Chelsea was handed their first defeat of the season at Stamford Bridge after two major errors from Kepa Arrizabalaga cost them a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool. Kepa was caught in no man’s land that led to Andreas Christensen’s sending off following a tackle on Sadio Mane to give the visitors an advantage.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper then made the headlines in the second half after making the error as Mane capitalized and scored Liverpool’s second goal. Former Napoli star who plays for Chelsa was now Jurginho was given a chance to give his team a lifeline from the penalty spot but Allison stopped the ball from going in. De Jong, who won the 2011/12 Premier League title with Manchester City, believes the Spanish shot-stopper sent a different message in his response to the goal-keeping error.
According to the former City star he said: “The confidence on his part right now is so low. “You look at his body language. He doesn’t have any confidence. “It’s doubly frustrating as a goalkeeper as you only have one position to defend you can only blame one person. “When you’re out, it means you’re out. “We saw his interaction with the defenders pointing, telling them what to do trying to get more confidence and show his coach he can remain No.1 at Chelsea.” Chelsea are currently in the market in searchof a new goalkeeper and Mendy is the major target.
