Brendan Rodgers is Ready to Sell Nigerian Star
Former Liverpool and current Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is ready to sell Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho and buy Odsonne Edouard from Celtic in the summer transfer window. The Super Eagles star was signed from Manchester City about two seasons ago.
Brendan Rodgers is willing to let the player go and sign Celtic striker Edouard who is valued at £35 million, Kelechi Iheanach is valued at £20 million by the English Premier League. Brendan Rodgers worked with Edouard when e was in the Scottish league where he managed Celtic. The 22-year-old has scored 28 goals in all competitions for the Hoops this season.
Kelechi Iheanacho has made seven starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leicester so far this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in the process. While Leicester could end up in the Champions League next season, Celtic are aiming to make it 10 league titles in a row in 2020-21, and that could be a huge incentive for Edouard to stay at Celtic Park.
No club has shown any interest for the Super Eagles star player yet with the English Premier League set to resume this evening, as Manchester City host Arsenal Iheanacho might just be playing his last nine games with the Foxes.
