Borussia Dortmund star striker Erling Haaland announced his return to the club after a long spell with injury with a goal as he force the German club back to winning ways at Wolfsburg. The young player also broke a record in the win as he is the youngest player to reach 50 German Bundesliga goals in the history of the league.

The 21-year-old Norwegian International struck a late volley after coming on for his 50th Bundesliga appearance. The home side went up in front through Wout Weghorst’s goal before former Liverpool player Emre Can level the scores from the penalty spot. They went in front for the first time in the game through Donyell Malen’s goal to make the scores 2-1 before Erling Haaland rounded up the scoring to make it 3-1.
Erling Haaland’s goal for Borussia Dortmund was his 10th in just seven games of a season interrupted by a hip flexor muscle injury that had sidelined him since mid-October. The absence of the player has been felt severely by the club as they have not won any Championships League game since the player suffered the injury.
It was a positive end to a week that saw Dortmund crash out of the Champions League on Wednesday with a 3-1 loss to Sporting Lisbon. The win was their sixth win in the last seven league matches in the German Bundesliga, Dortmund moved up to 30 points, with just one point below defending champions Bayern Munich.
