Adeboye and Flying over Mountain
General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has given five keys to overcoming of flying over some mountains, problems of difficulties in life.
While giving his usual Sunday sermon during today’s televised special dispensation service, Pastor Adeboye built on the message he preached some weeks ago, by stating how a man can overcome the challenges militating one’s progress in life.
Adeboye stated that a person hoping on God for a breakthrough or a miracle over the circumstances of life is described as one “waiting upon the Lord.” He, however, stressed that waiting upon the Lord has been erroneously viewed as a period where several prayer sessions are held with several prayer points and petitions presented before Him.
He made clarifications, stating that one who is waiting is a “waiter”. A Waiter works in a restaurant, waiting on guests who want to be treated to satisfaction.
To this end, Adeboye said the first of the five keys to flying over mountains is worshipping God. Giving his reference from John 19-28, he said worshipping God was the best way to start the process, stressing that a good waiter would always great and salute a customer who has come to be given a treat.
He gave the second key to flying above mountain to be giving Him water. He said according to John 19-28 while Jesus was being crucified He did not worry about the nails in His hands and legs, the crown of thorns, and bleeding side, the only thing He asked for was water.
Adeboye stressed that the first thing an effective Waiter offers his guest is water. So he prescribed that the second thing to offer God when you approach Him as a person waiting on Him for a miracle is water.
The third key to flying over mountains in life is giving Him the food of His choice. The pastor referenced John 4-23-24. He said since He has come for a Waiter to serve Him, He must be given the exact food He has ordered fro him to know that He has not come to waste His time and resources.
Number four on the list as given by Pastor Adeboye is treating Him with honour. According to him, a Waiter does not treat his guest anyhow, knowing that customers are always right.
Finally, he stressed that the fifth key to flying over mountains is ensuring that he is satisfied. He said he you ensure that while you wait on God to fly over the mountains in your life while leaving He will give you a tip, “a blessing.”
According to Adeboye, the bigger your guest the bigger your tip. He wondered how big the tip a God who said gold on thousand hills belongs to Him.
In his advice with these keys, anyone can fly over the mountain of bareness, poverty, physical and spiritual lockdown, failures of all kind, among many others.
He maintained that if a Waiter can use these keys the lockdown would be a blessing instead of a burden.
