Alada International Market Clash
The genesis of the whole clash is not known yet as women said it started when the Lagos state government refused to pay Paralympic athletes so they decided to start a strike which escalated to the clash.

Another source said it is the Yorubas that are trying to destroy Igbo-owned shops in the market. Another source said a task Force officer in the market, said agberos want to start collecting illegal tax from the traders and they refused.
He said the traders went to report to the Union but their complaints were not listened to as the agberos insisted that they will pay tax for any goods coming in or going out of the market.
No death was recorded at the time of this report but a spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the police are working to restore order in the area.
