Just days after the sudden death of the father of Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen another sad news hits Africa as Joseph Bouasse of Cameroon dies of a heart attack. According to the report on UK Sun, Joseph Bouasse died on Sunday night, the 24th day of May. Joseph Bouasse is just 21-years of age and he he plays his club football with Italian top league side AS Roma.
The young Cameroonian moved to Italy at the teenage age of 16 with the hopes of him getting his career better by playing football to the highest level. Before Joseph joined AS Roma, he was a victim of players being abandoned by their agent, he was by his unknown agent in Italy and he had to struggle and fed for himself at a very tender age in a foreign land.
But he never thought that all his dreams to become a famous player would not come to pass on earth. After getting to Italy at a young age without any of his family member, Joseph Bouasse was approached by a man who promised to help his football career.
Joseph Bouasse was luckily picked up by Liberi Nantes which is Italy’s only team made up solely of refugees, the young lad started a new life with the club and that was where AS Roma chiefs noticed him. He played excellently well when they played a friendly game against AS Roma youth team he was then taken to Roma in 2015 by the Roma chiefs before he started training with the youth team until he turned 18 and was offered professional contract.
The young Cameroonian has never played any professional game for both his Country and Roma’s first team as he was loaned to Serie B side Vicenza from where he died. It is really a sad one for West African football as the news of the death of Nigerian Lille striker Victor Osimhen’s father is still fresh in the hearts of sports lovers in the region now this young promising talent. AS Roma and the club which he was before his death has sent their condolence messages. The player is likely to be buried in Italy because of the global pandemic coronavirus which has restricted movement in italy.
