The history of the International Women’s Day celebration can be dated back to America where it was first held, on the 28th February 1909. It was organised by the Socialist Party of America.
In 1911, the likes of Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, and Austria celebrated their own first International Women’s Day which on the 19th of March 19. in 1977, the United Nations recognised the day and declared the 8th of March as International Women’s Day across the world.
Every 8 of March the world celebrate the place of women in society. On this particular day, women all over the world are not celebrated but they are also acknowledged in their various failed and how effective they have been.
Women are said to be the gate of continuity as it is through then that offsprings come from. 8 of March is very significant because of this celebration. The question now becomes how well should we celebrate this special day?
