The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has effected the arrest of fourteen people in two trailers conveying cows from Anambra state to Port Harcourt.
Special assistant to the Rivers state governor on electronic media, Simeon Nwakaudu, made this known.
According to Simeon, the trailers were intercepted at Rumuigbo in Obio/Akpor local government area following intelligence from well-meaning Nigerians.

However, the governor ordered the prosecution of the fourteen persons by the mobile court as he also asked the Rivers State Ministry of health to conduct tests on the 14 persons to ascertain their coronavirus status.
Also, wike noted that the security agencies had failed the people of rivers state as they collect money to allow defaulters to slip in through the border.
One of the people arrested said they moved into the state after bribing security personnel with 1, 500 naira.
