The question of why a Police arrested his colleagues is still bothering the minds of many Nigerians that heard of the development.
The Police Superintendent, SP Daniel Amah, reportedly rejected two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) from fellow officers and a legal practitioner who attempted to buy him over.
It was learnt that the incorruptible Nasarawa Divisional Police Officer in Kano State was already deep into the case and decided to monitor it until the end.
After attempts to lure and entice him with monetary gifts, SP Daniel Amah ensured he rejected all their advancements and held on to the truth for justice to be served in the case.
Why he exposed his colleagues by carrying out a police arrest in the first place is to do the job with all sense of ‘sound professionalism’, just as indicated in the letter of commendation presented by the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba.
Those guilty parties be brought to book for corruption include Ali Zaki, the Kano-based legal practitioner, and some police officers whose names were withheld from the public.
For his honesty, SP Amah got a certificate of commendation from the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, as it is difficult to see Nigerian police reject $200000 bribe in a case of alleged armed robbery.
