Veteran Actress Hilda Dokubo is asking who is lying to the president? According to her, easing the lockdown order after five weeks is not the best decision for Nigeria in the face of coronavirus.
While addressing the issue on her social media page, she reminded Nigerians that NCDC promised 1,500 testing capacity per day. This should translate to more than 40,000 tests minimum at the end of four weeks. However, tests have only be done on slightly above 10,000 people. And going by the more than 2,000 active cases in Nigeria, we have a 20% infection rate which according to her is higher than any country in the world.
Surprisingly, the president has not just eased the lockdown order but has also approved testing capacity of 2,500 persons per day. Now she is asking, if the NCDC could not achieve 1,500 testing capacity earlier, how do they want to achieve the newly approved 2,500 capacity?

Hilda Dokubo lamented on how the decision of the government is making a mess of the efforts of the health workers. She went further to ask why the committee members make decisions that do not protect the common masses. Hilda raised concerns regarding the difficulty involved in contact tracing during the lockdown while comparing it to how impossible it will be to trace people now that the economy is back to usual. She emphatically used the traffic situation of Lagos state to express her frustration on the contact tracing.
Conclusively, she reminded Nigerians that Ghana lifter their lockdown order prematurely and ended up with an alarming number of casualties.
She is still asking who is lying to the president. Hilda Dokubo emphasises that the person needs to stop immediately as the president cannot be making decisions based on the strength of a lie.
