I have come across several stories on Déjà vu and I have found it interesting. It has happened to many of us severally and the curious ones have asked to know if it is really a good or bad thing to experience. It has led to a debate among some people while some have claimed it doesn’t happen to sane people.
Déjà vu relates to human psychology; we just have to know more about this phenomenon. If you haven’t heard about this, then you have to learn here.
What is Déjà vu?
Déjà vu is an expression coined from French, meaning ‘’already seen’’. It is a common intuitive experience that has happened to many of us. When it occurs, it sparks a memory of a place we have seen, a person we have already seen, or an act we have already done.
According to a Psychologist, it can be described in theories as a memory of a dream, a precipitation, a coincidental overlapping of events or even a past life experience in which we rekindle ancient alliances.
It is a signal to pay special attention to what is taking place, perhaps to receive a specific lesson in a certain area or complete what is not yet finished.
Experiences on Déjà vu
Déjà vu occurs to us in different ways. I have this feeling most time I’m in a deep conversation. When my memory is being sparked, I pause and remember I have said such words to same person, same time, and same place. There is the strong feeling that it has happened before and it is so clear.
I asked some friends to know if they have been in this kind of situation before. This is what they have to share on this issue.
I was about to send my brother to get some food for us in a restaurant. I have given him the money when a neighbor knocked and brought us food. We were saying thank you for the food brought to us when I remembered it has happened before. My brother, the restaurant to go, the knock, the neighbor, and the appreciation has occurred before.

sometimes, there are certain events I feel I have participated in before. There was this particular time I had a dream about my mum. I think the next day I saw the dream replay itself right before my eyes.

I used to have those feelings, but I don’t recall them anymore.

I don’t know what it is. Please enlighten me

What You Need to Know About Déjà vu
Although some have argued that déjà vu is an experience that is uncertain or believed to be impossible, yet it has been real in the lives of many people.
It is said to occur more in people who travel or watch more movies than others. People tend to experience déjà vu more in fragile conditions or under high pressure. Research has shown that the experience decreases with age.
Two types of déjà vu have been recognized. They are the pathological déjà vu and the non-pathological déjà vu. The pathological type is usually associated with epilepsy, symptoms such as hallucinations, and may also be an indication of neurological or psychiatric illness.
The non-pathological type is a characteristic of healthy people and about two-thirds of these people experience déjà vu.
Whichever way it is, this experience is real and it is not a bad thing if it happens to people. It is an experience of life our brain has to recount.
Do share with us your déjà vu experience (if you have any) in the comment section. Thanks for taking time in reading this piece.
