Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, also known as Falz has made another strong statements about his brave commitment to the #EndSARS protest in Nigeria.
In his recent interview with CNN, he stressed that he was not afraid for his life considering how firmly he stood and spoke against the government while the Nigerian youth asked for better governance and end to police brutality.
“I am not afraid for my life because where we are right now, I feel like I can easily die by anything else anyway.”
Falz in his words during the interview stressed that there are more troubling situations that Nigerians are battling apart from police brutality.
“We have a non-existent healthcare system, for example. We have a seriously high level of poverty; there is unemployment.”
He added that many citizens of the nation go overseas on medical pilgrimage, while road accidents claim lives of productive lives daily. Falz during also maintained that if he makes it out of the protest alive, he could still be killed by some other unfortunate decadence in the country.
“We keep on saying that every single Nigerian is one sickness away from passing away. “So what kind of life am I living any way? Why should I be afraid of dying? I am going to die anyway, so what is the point?”
