President Muhammadu Buhari has again made some sets of promises among other unfulfilled pledges in recent pasts.
On Thursday, 9, 2021, Buhari assured the people of Imo State that he would address the security challenges eating deep into the system and causing unrest in the region.
He also vowed to put his weight behind the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, in dealing precisely with infrastructure shortfalls.
During his scheduled trip to Imo Sta, he made these declarations while commissioning the Egbeada-Onitsha bypass road in Owerri.
The Nigerian first citizen reiterated his pledge to exercise his power as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to deal with security gaps in the state.
Buhari Commends Uzodinma on Infrastructure Feats
Appraising the level of infrastructure achievements in Owerri, the Nigerian President commended the state government for the feat thus far.
The President said that his vision of having a secured Nigeria with tremendous infrastructure progress had marched with what Governor Hope Uzodinma was doing in the state.
Governor Uzodinma, who spoke earlier at the commissioning, urged the President to deal permanently with insecurity and flooding.
He also thanked the President for considering Imo State under his priority list, ensuring the state is conducive to residents.
