The communications regulatory body in the United Kingdom, Ofcom has slammed a £125,000 fine on Love word TV channel, a television station owned by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
The UK authorities accused the TV Channel of airing unproven conspiracy theories about COVID-19.
In a broadcast aired in 2020, the TV Channel reportedly claimed that the COVID-19 pandemic was planned.
According to the broadcast, the sinister COVID-19 vaccine intends to implant nanochips that could control and cause harm to members of the public.
The Channel further claimed that 5G somehow caused the virus.
Meanwhile, a detailed investigation by Ofcom, concluded that the programme breached broadcasting rules. The regulatory body accused the TV Channel of sharing potentially harmful claims about COVID19.
Everyevery.ng gathered that the body had earlier petitioned Loveworld TV Channel for making unsubstantiated coronavirus statements.

According to Ofcom, Loveworld’s failure to put these unsubstantiated statements into context risked severe harm to its audience.
The regulatory body opined that the Channel could undermine confidence in public health measures put in place to tackle COVID19.
You will recall that Pastor Oyakhilome recently blasted Christian leaders who encourage their members to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
