Two Men Caught With Cocaine Worth Billions of Naira while coming in to the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos
According to reports, two Nigerian travellers were caught at the Murtala Muhammed International Lagos Airport with hard drugs(cocaine).
Officers of the MMIA Command Of The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Lagos caught these men with 16.65kg of cocaine.
Suspects identified as Aniakar Uchenna James and Okwubunne Chidiebere Simeon were arrested on Wednesday.
Two of them had just arrived from Sao Paulo, Brazil with 6.25 and 10.40kg of cocaine respectively.
The substance was cleverly hid in children’s duvet containing towels.
Upon investigation, the officers found that the towels were also soaked in cocaine and hidden inside the duvet.
It was also discovered that the duvets were carefully laced with sachets of cocaine within the fabric.
The rest of the substances were kept in tin cans labeled ‘schram’.
Calculating with the street value of N135, 000 per gram, the estimate of the substances would amount to N2bn.
