Two men are now in trouble after a corpse got missing from a morgue located in Owo, the home town of the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Mr Oladejo Edubi a 50-year-old owner of a clinic and morgue in the community and one Mr Samuel Oluwatodimu, a 74-year-old the morgue attendant have been dragged before a chief Magistrate Court over the missing corpse.
The trouble started when the body of a woman identified as Rebecca Ogunoye was reported missing at the more and the two men have been accused of having disposed off the body without the consent of her family.
According to the Prosecutor, Owolabi Edu, the offence is contrary to the constitution and punishable under Sections 517, 242, and 249 of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol.1 Laws of Ondo State, 2006.
Chief Magistrate Olubunmi Dosunmu granted the duo bail to the tune of N200,000 each with a surety in like sum after they both pleaded not guilty.
The case would again be further heard before the court on June 10, 2020.
