the long-awaited National Executive Committee, NEC meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has in attendance, top Nigerian politicians, including President Muhammadu Buhari, as the most prominent personality at the event.
Also Present is Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, among other important party members in Abuja, where pressing issues concerning the state of their party would be discussed at the NEC meeting to pave the way forward.
It was learned that President Buhari had arrived at the venue of the meeting by exactly 10 am, in the company of the Vice President, the party’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, President of the Senate Ahmed Lawan, his deputy, Ovie Omo-Agege, Speaker of House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other National Assembly members, including party state chairmen and the national leadership of the APC.
NEC Meeting
During his opening spremark, the National Chairman Adamu described the ruling party as unbreakable and solid, urging aggrieved members to take urgent steps to reconcile and bring the party under one roof.
He said that the party is not immune to failure in 2023. adding that the level of disunity is glaring in the manner things are conducted.
He urged the party members to do everything possible to completely reconcile the warring factions both at the grassroots and national levels, stressing that they have to make sacrifices for the benefits of the party.
